Oil & Gas Law
Rochelle McCullough, L.L.P. has extensive experience dealing with litigation involving many facets of oil and natural gas disputes. Our attorneys have represented individual mineral interest holders in royalty class actions, oil exploration and production companies in bankruptcy proceedings, and commercial litigation arising out of the termination of business relationships in the energy industry.
Currently, the firm is representing a recently appointed Chapter 11 Bankruptcy Trustee of an oil exploration and production company. The firm's representation includes investigating the extent and nature of any assets (i.e., the scope and size of existing mineral rights ownership) the bankrupt entity may have, determining the nature of claims against the company (the company was involved in multiple lawsuits across Texas and New Mexico before our firm was retained), as well as investigating potential claims against the former owners and operators of the entity.
The firm also represents a natural gas exploration and production company, with one of the largest stakes in the Barnett Shale, in ongoing litigation arising out of the bankruptcy of an affiliated drilling rig company.
